UWS is one of the RTD's in the LobsterPlant project. Their role in the project includes RTD work related to feed development and disinfection methods.
University of Wales Swansea - Aquaculture Wales (UWS) is a publicly-supported, applied research group located within Swansea University (SU), UK. UWS’s research and technology development (RTD) activities are directed towards integrated aquaculture systems that cater closely to farmed species’ physiological needs for optimal performance, while maintaining a low environmental impact. Key areas of expertise within the group include applied immunology and health management of marine crustaceans, nutritional requirements and feed formulation for farmed fish and shellfish and development of environment-controlled aquatic rearing systems incorporating water recirculation technology. UWS performs RTD on behalf of commercial aqua-farmers / aquaculture service providers, research councils and governmental institutions, in the UK and internationally.
