Summary of achieved project results
The LobsterPlant project is now nearing the end of its project period. The SMEs and RTDs have been working intensively and been rewarded with several promising results.
The results to date are:
- Reference document describing the physical, chemical and biological criteria for consideration during development of the robotic, imaging and feeding technology
- Reference document describing feed stability parameters
- Reference document describing water quality conditions in lobster farms and criteria for cleaning technology
- Prototype of the robot with hardware and software to control the movements (functional tests complete)
- Prototype of the feeding system (functional test complete)
- Prototype of the imaging system with software (test complete)
- Integration of robot, feeding system and imaging system with hardware and software
- Feasibility study of biological cleaning of raceways
- Disinfection protocol based on results from trials on disinfection methods
- A developed feed formulation for lobster juveniles with feeding trials for pigmentation and performance
- Results from trials showing the effect of cell size on growth performance
- Results from trials showing the Effect of feeding frequency of growth performance and feed efficiency
- Results from trials giving relationship of length-weight relationship
- Modelling of growth and feed intake
Pending results:
Final validation test (results are expected summer 2011).
